COLUMBIA CITY - Dalton T. Hartman, age 82, of Columbia City, Indiana, passed away at 10:45 a.m., on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025, at Miller's Oak Pointe, Columbia City.
Born on Sept. 11, 1942, in Columbia City, he was the son of Herbert and Rachel (Davis) Hartman.
Dalton attended Columbia City Joint High School and graduated with the Class of 1960.
He then proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.
Dalton worked for Morsches Lumber Company for 30 years, until his retirement.
Dalton was a member of First Church of God, Columbia City.
He enjoyed dining out regularly with friends.
Survivors include his several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Evelyn Judd and Betty Weller' brothers, Herbert, Donald, Robert, Jack, and Larry Hartman.
In accordance with the wishes of Dalton, there will be no public service at this time.
Memorial contributions in memory of Dalton, may be made to Disabled American Veterans.
