Bessemer City – Dalton Lee Lewis, 24, passed away June 3, 2022, at his residence.
Dalton was born in Gaston County on November 4, 1997 to Jerry Lee Lewis and Lynn Spargo.
He is preceded in death by his grandfathers Tommy Hovis and Randy Sellers; his grandmother Glenda Messer; and his great grandmother Dorothy Stewart.
Dalton loved music, not just listening to music but also writing music. He was a gifted poet. He loved his family most of all, especially his fiancé, Bri Bri.
Those left to cherish his memory is his parents Jerry Lee Lewis and Lynn Spargo; fiancé, Brittany Green; step-sons, Avery and Oliver; step-daughter, Lillianne; brothers, Dustin Reese, Josh Lewis, and Ricky Townsend; sister, Amanda Fortenberry; grandmother, Phyllis Sellers; aunts, Kimberley White. Lisa Beard, and Gayle Flow; uncle, Darrell Brown; and cousins, Kristin Melton, Ryan Melton, Jackson Melton, Austin Crocker, and Valerie Crocker.
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Withers and Whisenant Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bruce Fenters officiating. Burial will follow at Hollywood Cemetery.
