Damon Farries Obituary
Damon was born November 19, 1972, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Damon was one of the four children of Bertha Mae Farries and John Paul Farries.
Damon professed his faith in Jesus Christ. Damon attended Indianapolis public schools for elementary and Thomas Carr Howe High School. He later earned his G.E.D. from the Department of Education.
Damon loved to be surrounded with family. He enjoyed laughter, watching movies, and dressing up and wearing his jewelry no matter the occasion. Damon was a loving, kind person and he will be dearly missed.
Damon departed this life on November 22, 2022, at the age of fifty-years and three days. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha Mae Farries and John Paul Farries, and a nephew, Terry Farries.
Damon is survived by his wife, Omowunmi Akinbulu; his step-children, Irewamiri Ankinbulu, Obaloluwa Akinbulu and Ilerioluwa Akinbulu; sister, Lisa Wilcoxson (Duane Wilcoxson), and brothers, Anthony Farries (Kimberly Farries) and Robert Farries; step-sister, Melissa Woods, and nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, other relatives and friends.
My dad, my hero, my mentor who has brought me so much happiness. Words seem so feeble in moments like this. The true value of a loving father has no price. You went so soon it's quite unfortunate it is inevitable, gone but never forgotten, You are gonna be so proud of me and my brothers who will keep your memory alive.
