Funeral services for Mr. Damon Antonio Smith will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home with the Reverend Paul Russell officiating. Interment will follow in the Greens Creek Cemetery. Mr. Smith, age 46, passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at the Pillars of Biloxi. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
The family will receive friends Saturday evening, February 17, beginning at 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
Pallbearers include Sunni McKinley, Stormi McKinley, Summer McKinley, Brandon Grubbs, Trey Nichols, Catie Smith, Madelyn Smith and Abbigail Smith. Scott Dyess will serve as an honorary pallbearer.
Damon Antonio Smith was born on May 24, 1977 in Jefferson Davis County to Louie Gene and Janice Gilbert Smith. Damon grew up in Prentiss and worked in construction most of his life. Having a talent for working with his hands, he was very skilled in woodworking. Damon's loved his family very much and especially enjoyed when they could all get together. He was of the Baptist faith.
Damon is preceded in death by his parents.
His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Dana Saulters Smith of Sumrall; his daughter, Savannah Simmons of Collins; his sons, Jagger (Haley) Simmons and Tye Simmons, both of Sumrall; grandson, Sebastian Bullock of Collins, sister, Crystal Smith of Carson; brother, Jamie (Sondra) Smith of Columbia and his father and mother-in-law, Clinton and Marie Saulters of Sumrall . Damon also leave behind a host of nieces and nephews.
