Dan W. Gibson is resting peacefully in the arms of his Savior on Monday, August 8, 2022 at the age of 67. Beloved husband of Linda (née Pfeiffer) Gibson of 36 years; loving father of Ellen Gibson. Our dearest brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend.
Dan epitomized the traits of kindness, positivity, trustworthiness, optimism, and compassion. He was also very funny and a loving and loyal husband, dad, and friend. Dan worked in advertising sales retiring as Vice President of Sales after a successful career of more than 30 years. He was an accomplished athlete with a black belt in karate, a double black diamond skier, a golfer, and a fisherman. During his retirement years he enjoyed the movies, eating sweets, spending time with family and friends and his dear dog Ollie. While Dan suffered the disabling effects of Parkinson's disease for more than 20 years, he never complained and always wore a smile with his twinkling blue eyes. His catchphrase, no matter the circumstances- was- "Egad! It's great to be alive."
A visitation will be held at St. Anselm Parish Center- 530 South Mason Rd. St. Louis, MO 63141 on Saturday, August 27 from 9:30-11:00 AM followed by a memorial mass. Memorial donations in Dan's memory may be made to American Parkinson Disease Association- 16100 Chesterfield Parkway W. Chesterfield, MO 63017.

Met Dan while working for Wal-Mart. He really helped me understand the prepress industry more and the print industry soon became the foundation for my career. I still consider Dan one of my closest friends. We enjoyed playing chess and going to movies together. He was extended family and was always part of my plans whenever I was in the St. Louis area. I think of him often.

Linda & Ellen, sorry this is late but I wanted you to know how much Danny ment to me. Danny was my cousin we were always very close. I spent 99% of every summer at Aunt Mables & Uncle Johnny's. We bummed around all over went everywhere. Danny was a few years younger then me but he always protected me from everything. He was always there for me throughout the years long after we all married. Danny was the best cousin, friend a girl old have. I named my only child Danny after him. I will miss you but take comfort in knowing I'll see you in heaven. Love Connie Jean
