My deepest condolences to the family. Danny was a good family friend. I looked up to him and looked forward to seeing him on Saturdays at his first liquor store, on Poplar St in West Oakland. He put me on the cash register and taught me how to run it! I was eight years old. Danny and my dad worked together. My dad, a former Hod Carrier named Walter Green was a good friend. Danny was a good man and mentor to me.
