Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions - Centerville ChapelDan Cameron Low, born on December 9, 1966, in Kettering, Ohio, passed away on February 10, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, hard work, and love that will be cherished by many.
A proud graduate of Miamisburg High School, Dan furthered his education at the University of Cincinnati, where he earned both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees. His professional journey spanned more than 15 years at General Motors/Delphi, culminating in his role as Assistant Plant Manager before transitioning to Vice President of Operations at Ingersoll Rand, among other esteemed companies. Dan’s commitment to excellence in his career was apparent in every project he undertook, and he took immense pride in his work.
Dan's was characterized by a steadfast dedication to the things he loved. He put his heart and soul into every endeavor. Camping trips to Camp Kern with his children for Indian Guides and Indian Princesses brought him great joy, as did boating at Brookville Lake with family and friends. Those who played Euchre with him fondly remember his endearing tendency to win no matter what the cost.
In addition to his professional and familial accomplishments, Dan had a passion for woodworking, creating beautiful pieces such as a grandfather clock and rocking horses for his grandchildren. His love for building and renovating began in childhood, and he carried that passion into adulthood. An avid NASCAR fan, he relished watching football, particularly enjoying the games of the Pittsburgh Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Old country music resonated deeply with him; some of his favorites included Hank Williams Jr. and Shania Twain. Dan derived great pleasure from being outdoors, whether it was gathered around bonfires or crafting pizzas over an open flame, enjoying life's simple pleasures with those he loved.
Dan is survived by his beloved children, Jessica (Johnathon) Braxton, Alex Low, and Katie (Tyler) Mitchell, and cherished grandchildren, Asher, Quinn, and Sawyer. His father, Tom (Linda) Low, remains a source of strength and support, along with his brothers, Roger (Jody) Low and Scott (Natalie) Low. He is also survived by his niece, Lindsey (Kevin) Johnson, and his best friends, including Tommy (Lynn) Baudendistel, Todd (Kristy) Sandefur, Mark Kinney, and Barbara Sullivan.
Dan was preceded in death by his dear mother, Sherry Low, best friend Harley Martin, and his paternal and maternal grandparents, Arthur and Mildred Low and Joe and Janis Wade.
His contributions to both his profession and the lives of those around him will not be forgotten.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Newcomer Centerville Chapel (820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, OH 45459).
