Daniel M. Palermo, 66, of Fort Wayne, died Wednesday October 29, 2025 at Parkview Regional Medical Center. Dan was born in Fort Wayne on February 26, 1959, the son of Juanita (Zumbrun) Palermo and (the late) Nicholas Palermo.

He was employed in Engineering and Information Technology at General Motors and later as Associate CIO at Purdue University Fort Wayne Campus.

Dan is survived by his wife, Vickie Palermo; his mother, Juanita Palermo of Fort Wayne; step-children, Nicholas (Christi) Hille-Ferran of Fort Wayne, Brooke (Joey) Bendele of New Haven, Zachary (Brooke) Ferran of Columbia City, Michael (Amanda) Narsh of Oxford MI and Andrew (Danielle) Narsh of Waterford, MI; sisters, Gina (Craig) Osborn, Diane (Brian) Blake, both of Fort Wayne, and Judy Sceats of Seattle WA; brothers, Alex Palermo, and Jeff Palermo, both of Fort Wayne; 8 grandchildren, with one more on the way, several nieces & nephews, and many dear friends.

He was a member (and usher) of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. He graduated from Bishop Dwenger High School in 1977 and Purdue University in 1984.

He was an Avid Boilermaker and Green Bay Packers fan and a Proud Eagle Scout.

He enjoyed motorsports, watersports, gardening & landscaping, home remodeling and automobile renovation. He also loved spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids, mother, family & friends .

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00am Wednesday November 5, 2025 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. with visitation from 10-11am in the church. Visitation also from 4-8pm Tuesday at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave. The family's preferred memorials are Catholic Charities, online at https://ccfwsb.org, or by mail to 915 S Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46802; or Humane Fort Wayne, online at https://humanefw.org/donate or by mail to 901 Leesburg Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
