Jason Kyle Duchnowski, 43, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away on November 12th, 2025. He was born on May 7th, 1982 in St. Louis, Missouri.

Jason is survived by his loving wife Heidi (Zarda) Duchnowski; his parents, Chris and Chet; his brother, Chad, and sister-in-law, Danielle; his nieces, Melody, Adelynn and Briar; and nephew, Theodore. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Chester and Lorraine Duchnowski, and Ormond and Wanda Pirtle.

Jason grew up in St. Louis until the fifth grade, when his family moved to Carmel, Indiana. He was active in Boy Scouts, baseball, soccer, basketball and hockey. He enjoyed being out on the water with his family, skiing and wakeboarding.

Jason attended Purdue University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in computer information systems technology. He built a distinguished career in the technology industry, contributing across managed services, cloud solutions, and cybersecurity. He was especially proud of his time at Varonis, where he served as Global Director of Channel Sales Engineering, supporting the company’s partner ecosystem through technical leadership, training, and relationship management. Most recently, he joined Keeper Security as a Senior Channel Engineer, a position he was excited to begin and approached with enthusiasm and optimism. Jason was known for his deep technical expertise, professionalism, and integrity, as well as his easygoing manner and genuine rapport with colleagues and partners. Over the course of his career, many coworkers became trusted friends, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

It was through a work colleague that Jason was introduced to his future wife, Heidi. They dated long-distance for two years before getting engaged and moving out to Colorado to begin their life together. They married in 2021 in the picturesque foothills of Genesee, surrounded by their closest friends and family.

Jason quickly fell in love with the beauty of Colorado. He loved skiing and felt happiest when he was on the mountain. Copper Mountain and Winter Park were his favorite resorts. He also loved hiking and camping—any day in nature was a great day. Seeing the beautiful mountains in the skyline never got old for him.

Jason loved traveling and experiencing different cultures. His favorite trips included exploring the rolling hills in Tuscany and skiing the Matterhorn in Zermatt. He also enjoyed cooking and will be remembered for his perfect reverse-seared steak, medium rare, of course—paired with a nice glass of Napa Cabernet.

Jason had a deep love for music and live concerts, with a special fondness for Red Rocks Amphitheatre. He cherished living close enough to experience performances set against its awe-inspiring natural rock formations and open Colorado sky. Post Malone was his favorite artist, and he was fortunate to see him perform live on several occasions.

Funeral services will be held on February 28th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Shawnee, Kansas. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the Rosary, and the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow. Burial services will take place on March 5th in Dardenne Prairie, Missouri.

Jason will be remembered for his intelligence, sense of humor, kindness and love of the mountains. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and colleagues, who cherished his steady presence, his quick wit, and the warmth and support he offered to those closest to him.
