Sandra Lenci Duchnowski (Lenci) of New Hope, PA passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025 at the age of 77, surrounded by her family. She was born in Brooklyn, NY in 1948 to the late Elio and Maria "Lilly" Lenci (Augugliaro), and was the younger sister to Alfred and Joseph Lenci.
Sandy was a passionate and outgoing woman who raised five children with her beloved husband of 56 years, Peter. With a big personality, she fought for what she believed in and was proud of her Italian heritage. She especially loved connecting with family, including her dozens of relatives and cousins from Brooklyn, Long Island, and beyond. Sandy held a wide variety of occupations throughout her life, working in a neonatal care unit, managing medical offices, owning her own coffee shop, and eventually becoming a realtor. Sandy was also creative and artistic; she loved baking, crocheting, quilting, gardening, home renovation, and painting with watercolors. More than anything, Sandy loved being a grandmother to her sixteen grandchildren.
Sandy is survived by her loving husband, Peter Duchnowski; five children, Karen Kossman and her husband Bill, Erica Kessler and her husband John, Jill Mastromonica and her husband Frank, Susan Testani and her husband Michael and Matthew Duchnowski and his wife Robin; brother, Joseph Lenci and sister-in-law Nancy Lenci; grandchildren, Erica, Stephen, Joseph, Holly, Jessica, Luca, Mateo, Anthony, Jack, Lia, Charlie, Laney, Penny and Ellie.
She is predeceased by her brother, Alfred Lenci; sister-in-law, Geraldine Lenci and grandchildren, Dominic Testani and Gianna Testani.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, May 30th from 6pm-8pm at Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road),
New Britain, PA and again on Saturday, May 31st from 9:30am-10:30am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 235 E. State Street, Doylestown, PA. A mass of Christian Burial will follow. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery, Newtown, PA.
