Constance Verrillo Obituary

Visit the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, Inc. - New Britain website to view the full obituary.
Constance S. Verrillo, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away peacefully at Suburban Woods in Norristown, Pennsylvania on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was 71 years old. To those who loved her, she was simply Connie.

Born in Philadelphia, Constance was the cherished daughter of the late Emilio J. and Concetta F. Sicilia Verrillo, whose memory she carried with her throughout her life.

Constance pursued higher education with dedication and distinction, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University with high distinction and earning induction into Alpha Sigma Lambda honor society. Her academic path reflected a deeper calling - a passionate commitment to Chemical Dependency Counselor Training - a field through which she would go on to profoundly change lives.

At the heart of Connie's life was her unwavering devotion to Alcoholics Anonymous (AA). For decades, she gave freely of herself as a sponsor, walking alongside countless individuals on their own journeys toward recovery. Her commitment was not merely personal - it was a vocation. On August 14, 2024, she was honored with a 40-year sobriety anniversary coin, a milestone that stood as a testament to her extraordinary strength and resilience. The members of her extended AA family were, in every meaningful sense, her family as well.

Constance is survived by her brothers, Emilio "Sonny" J. Verrillo and his wife Susan, and Dino C. Verrillo and his wife Nancy. She is also lovingly survived by her nieces and nephews: Dayna Williams (Scott), Bethany Mangin (Aaron), Emilio "Michael" Verrillo (Crystal), Andrew Verrillo (Antonia), Nicholas Verrillo (Megan), and Alyssa Verrillo, as well as numerous great-nieces and great-nephews, and the countless members of her cherished AA family.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 10:30 a.m., with a Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 a.m., at the Joseph A. Fluehr III Funeral Home, 241 East Butler Avenue (at Sandy Ridge Road), New Britain, PA 18901. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery in Chalfont, Pennsylvania. With a luncheon immediately to follow, all are welcomed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Connie's memory may be made to Stray Cat Blues of Colmar, PA - a cause dear to her heart - at straycatblues.org.
