Dana L. Basham

Dana L. Basham, 57, passed away, August 6, 2022 at his residence in New Castle. He was born January 9, 1965 in New Castle to Ferdnan and Grace (Johnson) Basham. Dana enlisted with the U.S. Army Reserves and was honorably discharged on January 24, 1989. He then worked for Waste Management as a truck driver for many years. He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Cathleen Hamilton-Basham of New Castle, daughters, Jennifer Basham and Jessica Phillips both of New Castle, step-children, Dion Holmes, Erika Williams, Cassandra Hillis, Jessica Yerger all of Washington, PA., sisters, Stephanie Bell, Garnett Basham, Camiella Crawford, all of New Castle, and Lisa Broom of North Carolina, brothers, Gregory Basham of New Castle, and Kevin Basham and Kent Caraway of Michigan, and 12 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ferdnan.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 12th from 11:00 am until the time of memorial service at 12:30 pm in the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel, 926 Cunningham Avenue, with Rev. Matthew Bupp officiating. Online condolences can be sent to: www.williamrogerdecarbo.com
