Judith Lyn Basham

Judith Lyn Dutschke Basham, 85, of Louisville passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

She was born on May 19, 1940 in Louisville to the late Lois Bobbitt Dutschke and John Turner Dutschke.

She was a member of Audubon Baptist Church, and worked as a secretary for Farm Bureau.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Everett Basham; and sister, Sheila Hellems.

She is survived by her son, Michael Basham (Kayla Doyle); daughter, Michelle Moore (Lee); sister, Alyce McDonald (Roy); grandchildren, Aaron Poston (Danielle), Meredith Johnson (Keith), Aubrey Brown (Ty), Ashley Hickey (Cole), Turner Basham (Shelby), Abigail Janes (Will), and Lee Moore; great grandchildren, Zayden Poston, Leon Poston, Tatum Poston, Hadley Hickey, Eliza Hickey, Maxine Hickey, Aria Creech, Josie Janes, Paisley Brown, Sage Brown, Steeley Brown, Addison Basham, Truitt Basham, and Maddox Johnson.

Her memorial visitation will be held from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2026 at Audubon Baptist Church 1046 Hess Lane Louisville, KY 40217 with her memorial service to begin at 7 p.m. Burial will take place at a later date at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Cremation was chosen.
