Dana Starks Obituary

Starks, Dana Renee , 40, beloved wife, daughter, sister, aunt and sister in Christ, passed away on August 23 at LifePath Hospice in Temple Terrace, FL.Born in Cleveland, Ohio, Dana later attended Ringling School of Art and Design, where she received her Bachelor of Art in Illustration. Dana immersed herself in her work at WFLA-TV, News Channel 8 as the Senior Graphics designer, twice winning Emmy awards for her efforts. A devout Christian, Dana worshipped with the North Tampa Church of Christ. She played an important role in building a foundation for Ovacome, a local Ovarian Cancer support group, where she was a both a tremendous comfort and a beacon of hope for other women battling ovarian cancer. Dana is survived by her husband, parents, sister, three nephews, and two nieces. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 27, 2007 at 3:00 P.M. at Blount & Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, 3207 W. Bearss Ave. The family request donations be made to the North Tampa Church of Christ Building Fund.

When we heard of Dana's passing we were so saddened.

Dana was a true inspiration to those around her and will be sadly missed by many.
