Dana Sue Loveless Wigington, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully at her home on February 28, 2026, at the age of 86.
Born on September 21, 1939, in Pope County, Arkansas, to the late Henry Lee Loveless and Esther Jobe Loveless, Dana was a proud graduate of Atkins High School and Capital Business College.
Dana dedicated her professional life to serving others, retiring as a loan specialist from the USDA. Following her retirement, she continued her commitment to community service with unwavering passion and dedication. For over 30 years, she volunteered at Easley Baptist Hospital, selflessly giving her time and talents to those in need. A faithful member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, Dana had a servant's heart that inspired many. She was a founding member of the Fellowship Sunday Class and was known for delivering Meals on Wheels, visiting shut-ins, and actively participating in church activities. She was also known for her hospitality and family dinners, and her yeast rolls were a favorite among many.
In addition to her dedicated service, Dana enjoyed various hobbies. She was a member of a bowling league for many years and cherished the time spent playing cards weekly with friends, adding joy and laughter to her life and the lives of those around her.
Dana is survived by her loving children, Rhonda Wigington Thompson (Jack) and Jason Thomas Wigington (Stacey). She was a cherished grandmother to Dorothy Grace Thompson, Jackson Thompson, John Thomas Wigington, Isaiah Wigington, and Presley Wigington. Her memory will also live on through her dear sisters, Jewell White (Don) and Lorene McGuire (Tommy), all of Russellville, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Thomas Wigington; and brothers, Arivell "Bud" Loveless, Bermell Loveless, and Jennings Loveless.
Dana Sue Loveless Wigington will be remembered for her unwavering spirit, her deep love for family and community, and her lifelong commitment to serving others. Her legacy of kindness and generosity will continue to touch the lives of many.
