Dana Marie Westenberg

Dana Marie Westenberg, 69, of Friendswood, Texas, formerly of Indiana, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026.

Born on July 18, 1956, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dana was the beloved daughter of Delcie and James Jones. She grew up with a strong sense of family, resilience, and compassion - qualities that would define her throughout her life.

Dana was preceded in death by her parents, Delcie and James Jones; her brother, David Jones; and her sister, Sherry Ensminger.

She leaves behind a family who adored her and will forever hold her close in their hearts: her daughter, Nikki Joe, and son-in-law, Larry Joe; her brothers, Jeff Jones and Garry Jones; and her cherished grandchildren, Meredith and Denny, who were the absolute light of her life.

Dana had a vibrant spirit that could light up any room. She loved to dance, laugh, and truly have fun - never missing a chance to enjoy the moment. Music was always playing somewhere nearby, and whether she was singing along or moving to the beat, it was impossible not to smile around her.

Above all, Dana was incredibly strong. She faced many medical challenges throughout her life, yet she met each one with courage, grace, and an unwavering positive attitude. Even on the hardest days, she remained hopeful and focused on the joy in life, inspiring those around her more than she likely ever realized.

Dana will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, her love of music and dancing, and most of all, her deep devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on in the memories she created, the love she gave, and the lives she touched so deeply.

A visitation for Dana will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m., at Crowder Funeral Home, 2422 E. Broadway St., Pearland, Texas 77581.
