Dane J. Mayle Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Mar. 29, 2024.
Dane J. Mayle, 58, of Canfield passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at his residence in Youngstown, Ohio. A son of the late Millard and Mary Jane (Molinaro) Mayle. He graduated from Austintown Fitch High School in 1983 and received his BA in Accounting from the University of Baltimore. He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy, serving during Operation Desert Shield/Storm. Dane was a CPA for many years, and most recently was managing partner for Clifton Larson Allen Accounting in Akron. He enjoyed history and was a voracious reader. He loved his Ohio State Buckeyes, but most important to Dane was spending time with his friends and family. He was the consummate entertainer, always wanting everyone to have a good time and will be dearly missed by all that knew him. He leaves his wife, Tracy; two sons, Dominic Mayle of Reading, PA, Alex Mayle of Atlanta, GA; a sister, Marti Kennedy of Austintown; two brothers, Todd (Michele) Mayle of Austintown and Richard York of New Middletown. Besides his parents, Dane was preceded in death by a brother, David York. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 3rd from 5-8 p.m at Lane Funeral Home, Austintown Chapel and 10-10:45 am Thursday, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.

Condolences on behalf of the Board and Staff of the Ohio Society of CPAs. Dane was an exceptional leader and mentor. He set the tone for respect and congeniality in the office and in the profession and made CLA a wonderful place to work.

I am heart broken to hear of Dane's passing. I met Dane in 2008 when I joined Bruner Cox. He was always a good friend and leader. I valued all his insight and support. But most of all Dane was a great friend. No matter how busy he was he would always have a smile and time to help. RIP my friend. Dane will certainly be missed. My condolences to Tracy and the boys.
