Danette M. Lueder

Our Beautiful mother Danette Marie Lueder passed away on October 31st 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 68 years old. She was also known as Cissy to her close family. She put up a hard fight battling cancer. She passed on her favorite holiday. Danette was the most amazing mother anyone could ever ask for. She did everything for everyone. She was the hardest working person on the planet. She finally got to retire this year and got to go to the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee. Everyone loved her peanut butter cookies and her snickerdoodle cookies. She was also an amazing cook. She made the best Thanksgiving dinners. She never put herself above anybody. She loved watching her scary movies and eating popcorn. She was a real life angel. Everyone that has met her has said the same thing about her that she is the biggest sweetheart. She really was.
Danette is survived by her daughters, Heather Lueder, Crystal Lueder, and Lora (Matt Gaidar) Lueder ; step daughter, Sandy Curry; mother, Irene Gundich; siblings, Michelle Castaneda, Nicole (David) Prepejchal, Tamara Seles, George (Carrie) Gundich, and John (Patrizzia) Gundich; sibling-in-laws, Donna Radford, Diane Oman, and Bob (Susan) Lueder; many nieces and nephews; and grand cats, Prim and Blondie. Danette is preceded in death by her husband William Lueder; father, William Gundich; birth mother, Margaret Gundich; Brother, David Gundich; father in law, William F. Lueder; mother in law, Betty Mae Lueder; brother-in-laws, Nathan Seles, Hoyt Radford, and Danny Oman; and pets, Midnight, Dude, Jack, and Prowler
A memorial service will be held on November 7th at 2 p.m. at the Cedar Lake United Methodist Church, 7124 W 137th Place, Cedar Lake, IN 46303, Pastor Ken Puent, officiating
