Formerly of North Versailles, currently a resident of Kane Regional in McKeesport, age 64, was granted her wish to join her mother, Anne (Baker) Mainiero, in heaven, on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.
She also joins her father, Danny Mainiero, and her mother's dear friend and companion after Danny's death, Buddy Ambrose.
Danette is survived by her aunts, Florence Baumann of Hempfield, Esther (Tony) Suppa of Mars and many cousins.
Danette was also preceded in death by her uncles, William (late Ruth) Baker and Robert (late Betty Lou) Baker.
As a youngster, Danette was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls.
She was a 1976 graduate of East Allegheny High School and earned an Associate's degree from Allegheny County Community College. She was employed with US Steel for many years in the downtown office. Danette enjoyed travelling and did so impulsively. As a resident at Kane, she made many friends with residents and staff and enjoyed playing Bingo and any other opportunity to be socially active. She also watched movies and challenged herself with crossword puzzles. Danette was a member of Linway Presbyterian Church in East McKeesport.
Friends are welcome from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 700 Linden Ave. at Cable Ave., East Pittsburgh, 412-824-8800 where a Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 12 noon.
Danette will be laid to rest with her Mom and Dad at Penn Lincoln Cemetery.
Danette's family and friends would like to thank the staff at both, Community Life and Kane Regional in McKeesport for their dedication in giving quality care and attention to Danette's needs.
