Sadie Elaine Mainiero, 76, of Marengo, passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born July 29, 1946, in Henning, TN the daughter of Silas and Sadie (Locke) Mauldin. She married Robert Mainiero on Oct. 11, 1997, in Huntley.
Elaine will always be remembered for her very giving nature and generosity to her daughters and her grandkids. She loved to cook nice meals, watching all the cooking shows, and was an amazing baker all throughout the year but especially at Christmas. She loved the Hallmark Christmas movies, and all the joy that the Christmas season brought. Some of her happiest times were with her dogs, Princey and Miss Murphy, they were great sources of joy to her. Elaine also was an avid Ellvis fan, she even made a visit to Memphis to pay homage to "The King". But most of all was her love of her family, she will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank the amazing team at the Dialysis Care Center in McHenry for their care of mom.
Surviving is her daughters, Catherine (Joe) Simonini, Michelle (Chris Roehm) Mizell; grandchildren, Jordan (Erika) Creasy, Hayden (Katie) Creasy, Hunter (Annie Kroen) Simonini, Isabella Simonini, Jarod (Kristy Darling) Resh, Kaitlin (Alex Schoenfeldt) Resh, and Emily (Cade Portell) Karst; great-grandchildren, Carter, Cooper, and Daisy Creasy; four sisters, Deborah Roth, Marilyn (Ken) Trotz, Pamela Hawkins, and Wanda Ingle; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Robert in 2007.
Services will be held on Monday, Jan. 9 at 3:30 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 412 Jackson St. in Marengo.
Visitation will be prior to services from 2 – 3:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name may be directed to the family to be used for "Elaine's" favorite charities.
