Dani D. Milus, 64, of Mineral and formerly of Peru, passed away unexpectedly on January 20, 2023 in Genesis Health in Davenport, Iowa.
Cremation rites will be accorded and services will be private. The Hurst Funeral Home in La Salle is handling Dani's arrangements.
Dani was born in Ottawa on November 14, 1958 to Alan and Joyce (Shaver) Milus. He served with the United States Marines.
Dani treasured his friends and family. His bond with his siblings was so strong. His quiet demeanor reflected his peaceful soul. This was evident in his love of fishing and watching hummingbirds out his window. He loved the game of baseball and was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals. He spent many years making countless memories with his longtime partner Cathy, and her family.
Dani is survived by his partner in life Cathy Hall of Mineral; one daughter Mandy Shaver of La Salle; three grandchildren, Caleb, Paige and Bradley; three sisters, Jolene (Tim) Plankenhorn of Peru, Debbie Milus of Peru and Denise Milus of La Salle; two brothers, Dennis (Dennis) Milus of Denver, CO and Dave (Lori) Milus of Peru; his aunt Carol Shaver of Waltham; many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Denett Bartlett and Amy Fields, one brother Dean Milus, and his uncle Richard Shaver.
