Danie Cabrera Alvero

Danie Cabrera Alvero, 71, passed away peacefully at home on April 30, 2023 surrounded by his family.
Danie was born in 1952, in San Pablo City, Philippines to Domingo and Remedios Alvero, the youngest of three children. He immigrated from the Philippines in 1976, to Miami, Florida where he met his wife, Edith.
He was married to Edith Alvero in 1985. They have an adopted son who resides in the Philippines, Oliver Alvero.
Preceded in death by his father Domingo Alvero, mother Remedios Alvero, sister Olivia Alvero, Brother-in-law Rodsin DeMesa (Nemia).
He graduated from Ateneo de Manila University with a Bachelor's degree. While employed at AT&T, he earned his Master's Degree in Human Resources.
He has been a long time resident of Alpharetta with his wife. He worked at AT&T, prior to retiring in 2011. He formed many long lasting friendships there, and retired after 30+ years of employment.
He was an avid collector - of sports memorabilia, cars, Lego sets & trains. He was active in the Georgia Garden Railway Society.
Danie was a movie lover, avid reader, car & motorcycle enthusiast. He enjoyed traveling back home to the Philippines for reunions with lifelong friends. He was joyful, humorous, kind, and an example of a life well-lived for both his family and friends.
Survived by his wife Edith Alvero, son - Oliver Alvero, sister - Nemia DeMesa, nephew - Rodney DeMesa (Voncille) and niece - Karen Cowan (Robert).
Danie was a caring son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and dear friend. His spirit will live on in all of the lives he has touched.
