Daniel Dean “Danny Boy� Amavisca, 25, died on Jan. 4, 2011, at Hu Hu Kam Memorial Hospital. The wake will be from 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday at the District 3 Service Center. The graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Bapchule with a traditional blessing and ceremony. Harold “Brother Bear� Patrick will officiate. Mr. Amavisca was born on Oct. 26, 1985, in Phoenix. He worked in maintenance for the Gila River Indian Community. He loved drawing, music, video games, riding his bike and being with his family and friends. Survivors include his parents, Johnny Amavisca of Sacaton and Dionne Smiley of Blackwater; four brothers, Raylyn Smiley of Blackwater, David and Jacob Amavisca of Sacaton and Jesse Amavisca of Santa Rosa; and one grandmother, Joella Scott of Casa Grande. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Antonio Amavisca Sr., Gary and Rhoda Smiley. J. Warren Funeral Services, Cole & Maud The Gardens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
