Daniel Annis Obituary
Sunrise – May 17, 1947 ~ Sunset – January 31, 2024
Dan was born on May 17, 1947 to Margaret Annis. At 19 he joined the United States Air Force and served for 20 years from September 1, 1966 to September 30, 1986. He was a Vietnam Veteran and loved his country. He was proud to serve his country.
He was interested in airplanes, helicopters, Native American culture, and enjoyed watching the news to keep up with current events. He was a huge Steven Seagal fan, and thought that he and Seagal even looked alike. Dan enjoyed family barbeques by the lake and animals. He told a story of how a dog named Toby saved his life, and consistently after that, he named every dog he ever owned Toby.
Dan loved crafts such as pottery, and creating waterfall features. He truly liked caring for animals from dogs to cows to deer, you could always find him feeding them or giving them his undivided attention.
He is survived by the mother of his children who he was married to for 14 years, Vicki Benjamin, his sons, Michael Annis, Steven Annis and Tim Annis and his daughters Rebecca Puentes (Ernesto) and Staci Annis-Kilgore (Randy). He also has two grandchildren who he genuinely loved, Angel Annis and Daelyn Annis-Kilgore. As well as his bothers Scott Annis and Arthur Annis, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Dan will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Until we meet again, rest in peace.
