With thankful hearts, we praise God, our beloved Evelyn (Pallesi) [Hansen] Annis was called home on November 28, 2025 by her Lord and Savior. We are comforted in knowing she is peacefully in the arms of her Savior. Evelyn was born on July 10, 1936, in Parlier, CA. She was the fourth of five children born to Amado and Sandrina Pallesi and grew up with her brothers Jerry and Bill and her sisters Lydia and Linda.
Evelyn lived her life as faithful servant of the Lord for 42 years at 4th Street Church in
Madera, CA. She devoted her life to serving God by not only being an active member in her church but also as the church secretary with dedication and pride. She spent time in children's ministry, where she allowed God's light to shine through her by loving on children she interacted with in the classroom, which was displayed by a letter we found in her belongings from a young child 25 years ago. The child, Jessica cherished the friendship she received from Evelyn and her belief in God, including the hugs she received from her. Throughout the years, she actively spent time with God by praying, reading her bible and participated in several bible studies where she developed many friendships. Her commitment to faith in God was reflected in her selfless actions towards others. Driven by God's love, she had a deep compassionate love for all of her family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald Hansen in 1972, and her second husband, Merle Annis in 1992. Together with her late first husband, Don ,they raised three children and together they farmed grapes and raisins in Madera \ Kerman area. She found great fulfillment in raising her children, and this continued with Merle. Evelyn and Merle, enjoyed many trips together, golfing, going on cruise's and spending time and traveling with friends.
Evelyn deeply loved and adored all of her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a great great grandmother. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, both her late husbands, her daughter Sandy Kovanda and grandson Devin William Hansen. She is survived by her daughter Shelley Stinnett and son-in-law Leonard Stinnett and her son Donald Curtis Hansen and daughter-in-law Marie Hansen and her son-in-law Alan Kovanda.
