Daniel Austin

Daniel Eugene Austin was born on June 14, 1961 in Paterson, New Jersey
to Georgia Mae and Joseph Austin.
Daniel who was lovingly known as "Dune" received his education through
the Paterson Public School System. He grew up in the Christopher Columbus
Projects, Bldg. 2-10G for the majority of his young life. He was a member
of the Boy Scouts troop there for a number of years.
Daniel was a traveler and had many friends and associates. He worked
at rehabbing houses across the states and was always meeting new people.
Daniel was currently living in Virginia with his girlfriend Laurie Seegers,
who was his next door neighbor when they were children.
He was preceded in death by an infant sister; Cheryl Lynn Austin, his
maternal grandparents; Henry and Marie Austin, four aunts; Addie
Austin, Sarah Austin, Jean Harper and Rose Marie Littlejohn, four uncles;
Green Austin, Mose Austin, John Austin and Henry Austin, Jr.
Daniel Eugene Austin departed this life unexpectedly on Saturday, October
8, 2022 while visiting his children in Paterson, New Jersey.
He leaves to cherish precious memories his mother; Georgia Mae Austin,
Augusta, GA, two sons; Joseph Austin, Jr, Augusta, GA and Kamar
Hastings of Paterson, NJ, three daughters; Shamida Tucker, Lowell, MA,
Trinace Grant, Ft. Washington, MD and Zoey, Paterson, NJ, eleven
grandchildren; Zehra Harris, Nahjier Tucker, Shacorah Robinson, Javon
Morton, Jr, Cameron Walker, Hunter Grant, Nalasjia Hasty, Camar Hasty,
Zion Hasty, Omorie Austin and Rain Austin, two brothers; Allan Austin,
Columbia, SC, and Joseph Austin, Paterson, NJ, one sister; Rebecca Austin,
Augusta, GA, three aunts; Sadie Chapman, Haledon, NJ, Nina Austin, East
Orange, NJ and Albertha Austin, Augusta, GA and a host of cousins both
here and in the South.
Daniel will be truly missed
