With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Daniel John Baker, who left this world on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at 11:20 a.m. following a short illness of cancer.
Born on January 5, 1977, in Burlington, VT, Danny was the son of Richard Baker and Judy Fleming (Martin). He attended school in Milton, VT. He was married in Burlington, VT to June Botala in November of 2001.
He started work at age 15 at Tortilla Flats, then later worked as a window cleaner with a dear friend, Charlie Martin, then went back to his passion of cooking at the Village Tavern in North Ferrisburgh.
He is survived by his wife, June Baker; Danny's greatest pride and joy, his daughter, Tatianna Baker and partner, Hunter Jung; his stepchildren, Holly Botala-Blanchard, Randy Blanchard and wife, Tara, Brielle Taylor, and Nathan Taylor-Baker; two grandchildren, Oakley Nash Botala and Jacob Robert Blanchard; brother, Joshua Baker; two sisters, Tina Vuley and spouse, Chad and Crystal Uchiha and spouse, Cinder; nieces and nephews, Caitlyn Vuley, Lilith Uchiha, Caiden Vuley, Jiriyah Uchiha; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many dear and special friends, including Charlie and Christy Martin and dice partners, Rod and Cathy Emmons. He was predeceased by his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and grandson, Caleb Melvin Blanchard.
At Danny's request there will be no funeral services or burial. He requested "A party like it's 1999!" which will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 2 p.m. at the Village Tavern, 6640 Rout 7, North Ferrisburgh, VT.
Arrangements are in the care of the Cremation Society of Chittenden County, a division of Ready Funeral & Cremation Services.
