Daniel William Baudoux passed away on Saturday, July 20, 2024, at Great Lakes Rehab Center in Saginaw. Daniel was born on August 10, 1930, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of the late Leonard J. Baudoux and Marie C. (Marsh) Baudoux.
During the Korean War, Daniel served his country in the United States Army. After his military service, he pursued a career as an electrician at General Motors, retiring after many years of service. Daniel married Margaret Mary Baudoux, and the two would spend more than 68 years together. He was a man known for his great sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Church.
Daniel had a variety of interests and hobbies that brought him joy. From wood carving to working on the pit crew for his son's off-road race team, from traveling with the snowmobile club throughout Michigan to tending to his garden and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, Daniel lived life to the fullest. He also found peace and enjoyment on fishing trips that allowed him to connect with nature.
Daniel is survived by his children Dan and Cheryl Baudoux, Rick and Kerrie Baudoux, Laurie and Emery Wilson, Bob and Renee Baudoux, John and Cathy Baudoux; grandchildren Rick and Dawn Baudoux, Tracy and Nick Miller, Adam Baudoux, Molly and Gerrit Bancroft, Josh and Paige Wilson; eight great-grandchildren; sister Mary Sanderson. He was preceded in death by siblings Albert Baudoux, Violet Baudoux, Leonard "Doc" Baudoux, Leo Baudoux, James Baudoux, Florence Trumble, Ed Baudoux, Marjorie Johnson, and Joan Richter.
The family would like to thank the caring staff of Great Lakes Rehab Center for their loving care.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024, at St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Church, 469 Shattuck Rd, Saginaw, MI 48604, where friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Fr. William Rutkowski will officiate the service. Following the service friends are invited to join the family for a luncheon at the church. Private interment will take place in St. Mary Cemetery in Albee Township, where Daniel will be buried with his loving wife Margaret. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or St. John Paul II Parish, St. Josaphat Church.
