Janice Elsie (Redburn) Perkins, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt, passed away peacefully at home on March 5, 2026, with her daughters by her side. She was born on February 7, 1939, to Leona and Leonard Redburn.
On October 19, 1957, Janice married the love of her life, Edwin Lee Perkins, beginning a lifelong partnership built on love, devotion, and family. Together they created a home filled with laughter, support, and strong family traditions.
Janice was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured time with her family. She loved family adventures and was happiest when everyone was gathered together, especially when she was cooking for those she loved. She enjoyed playing Euchre and proudly belonged to the same card club for over 50 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, visiting the casino, dancing, and spending time with friends.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters: Pamela (Tim) Purman, Janice (Jerry) Wazny, Jeanette (Jeff Austin) Green, and Lee Ann (Jamie) Castle; her special niece Wendy Solomon; grandchildren Janel (Ryan) Dilts, Jayson (Tina) Wazny, Kevin (Brittani) Purman, Bridget (Brent) Culey, Sarah (Glen) Mayle, Samantha (Darwin) Schmitzer, and Kaylee (Derek Hovinga) Castle, 16 great grandchildren; and brother-in-law Roy Moe. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will cherish her memory.
Janice was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edwin Lee Perkins; her daughter Sandra (David) Tyson; grandson Kyle Wazny; sisters Carol Moe and Shirley (Ronn) Kabobel; brother Gerald (Yvonne) Redburn; brothers-in-law Dick (Donna) Perkins and Bob (Audrey) Perkins; and sister-in-law Betty (Moe) Natzel.
Janice will be remembered for her warm heart, her love of family, and the joy she brought to those around her. Her memory will live on in the many lives she touched.
Friends may visit with the family from 11:00am - 1:00pm of Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 4480 Mackinaw Rd, Saginaw, MI 48603. A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 1:00pm on Wednesday, March 11, 2026. Pastor Ted McCulloch will officiate. Janice will be laid to rest following the service at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 E Holland Rd, Saginaw, MI 48601.
