On the morning of Wednesday, November 26, 2025, Daniel McDonald Boone, 85, of Marion, went to be with the Lord at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
He was born in McDowell County on March 15, 1940 to the late Frank Boone and Tuie Bradburn Boone.
With a career spanning over 35 years, Danny devoted his working life to Buckner Plumbing. He was a man of deep faith, who held his church community close to his heart. A former member of Temple Baptist Church, he most recently attended Catawba Heights Baptist Church, where his love for the Lord shone brightly. His passion for southern gospel music was a significant part of his life; he joyfully sang with several quartets over the years and served as a former choir leader.
In addition to his musical talents, Danny cherished the simple pleasures of life. He found joy in spending time outdoors and tending to his beloved flowers. He was also a devoted companion to his special canine friends, Charlie and Chloe, who brought him immense happiness and comfort.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Frank Boone, Rev. Charles Boone, Phillip Boone, and Roger Boone, and two sisters, Ruth Peacock and Judy Curry.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Janice Nanney Boone; his children, Jennifer Boone Fracassi (Nick), Andrew Boone (Rachel), Tammy Boone Webb, John Boone, Lisa Boone Seay, Renee Boone Hollifield (Tim), and Jamie Boone; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Virginia White and Wilma Davis (Haskell).
The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30, 2025 from 2:00 until 3:00 p.m. at Beam Funeral Service. A funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Dr. Tom Walker officiating. Interment will be held at Cross Memorial Park.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills for the wonderful care provided to the Boone Family. Those wishing to make memorial donations in Danny's memory are asked to consider Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
