Daniel Boyle Obituary
Daniel James Boyle, affectionately known as Dan, passed away on February 26, 2026, in his hometown of Wilmington, North Carolina, at the age of 36. Born on September 6, 1989, also in Wilmington, Dan brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.
Dan was a skilled auto mechanic, a craft he honed through self-teaching and on-the-job training. His dedication to his work at the local garage was unwavering, and he took great pride in helping others keep their vehicles running smoothly.
Beyond his professional life, Dan was a man of simple pleasures and deep connections. He relished dining out with friends, and family gatherings were moments he cherished deeply, particularly during holidays. The beach held a special place in his heart, offering a peaceful retreat where he could unwind and soak in the beauty of nature. At home, he found joy playing in the yard with his beloved golden lab, Brando, who was more than a pet-he was a loyal companion.
Dan is preceded in death by Travis Wayne Midgett, who was a father figure to him, his aunt, Patricia Ann Boyle and his grandfather, James Boyle. He leaves behind a family who will forever hold him in their hearts: his mother, Mary Theresa Boyle; grandmother, Judy Boyle; aunt, Amy Schaeffer, and her husband, Zach Williams; uncle, Brian P. Boyle; cousin, Jeremy Mason Schaeffer; and his faithful dog, Brando.
Private family services are currently being planned to honor Dan's memory. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pender County Humane Society, a no-kill animal shelter, in remembrance of Dan's love for animals and his compassionate spirit, please see link below.
Dan will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle soul, and the lasting impact he made on those fortunate enough to have known him. May he rest in peace.
His family has entrusted Dan's care to Wilmington Funeral & Cremation, 1535 S. 41st Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
