Kevin Daly Obituary
Born March 3, 1952, in Syracuse, N.Y., he was the son of John and Norma (Fish) Daly. He was a graduate of Union Springs High School, Lyndon State College in Vermont, and completed post-graduate studies at SUNY Cortland. Kevin was a Class A PGA Professional and Head Golf Professional at several clubs in the Finger Lakes region.
In 1980, he married Mary K. Sullivan, and together they raised their children, Erin and Ryan, in Newark, N.Y. Kevin coached basketball for Newark Central School District, with his greatest joy being supporting his children in their athletic endeavors. In his later years, he especially cherished his time with his granddaughters.
He is survived by his children, Erin (Andrew) Watkins and Ryan (Leanne Zonneville) Daly; and their mother Mary Daly; granddaughters, Grace, Eden, Ellie, and Penny; sister, Nancy (Ronald) Chretien; brother, Todd; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents.
A Celebration of Life service will be held in New York this summer. Donations may be made in Kevin's memory to Alex Eligh Community Center of Newark, N.Y. or the Alzheimer's Association.
Services are in the care of Coastal Cremations, 6 Jacksonville Street, Wilmington, NC 28403.
