A visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Memorial Services of Iowa, (4208 N. Ankeny Blvd., Ankeny, Iowa). A private burial will be held at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Born in Dubuque, Iowa, Dan spent his life building meaningful connections and living with purpose. He was known for his sense of humor, work ethic, kindness, and his ability to make everyone feel welcome. Whether through his career in IT, his volunteer work with Thanks for the Freedom Fund, or simply lending a helping hand, he made a lasting impact on those around him.
Dan is survived by his loving wife, Amy; children, Jordan (Lexi) Brunkow, Peyton (Anna) Brunkow, Colby Brunkow, and Camden (Katelyn Konfrst) Brunkow, all who will carry forward his legacy with love and pride.
Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in the joy Dan brought to our lives and the memories that will live on forever.

So sorry and shocked to hear about Dan´s passing. Dan and I were on the same management team at Pioneer. I remember Dan always advocating for those on his team. He was a very easy going guy that always seemed to find a way to make others laugh. He will be missed.
