Daniel C. Cable, Sr.

Daniel C. Cable Sr., a lifelong Beacon resident, passed away unexpectedly on February 10, 2024 at the Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh; he was 66 years old. He was born in Beacon, NY at the Highland Hospital, son of the late Charles W. Cable and Shirley Ann (Babcock) Urspruch.

On July 2, 1976 in Beacon, NY, he married JoAnn Piga, who survives at home.

Dan worked for 28-years, up until his passing, for the school bus transportation company, First Student, Inc. in Poughkeepsie, NY; where he had been supervisor for many years. 

Dan loved the outdoors, whether it was mowing lawns, hunting or spending summer vacations at Great Lake Sacandaga in the Adirondacks; he loved being on his boat on the lake.

Along with his beloved wife of 47-years of marriage JoAnn Cable, Dan is survived by his two sons: Daniel C. Cable Jr., and his companion Jessica Garcia; Jason M. Cable Sr., and his companion Rosalie Hogan; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Isabella, Jason Jr., and Antonio, and great-grandson Lorenzo. He is also survived by his brothers & sisters: Charles Cable, William Cable, Cherry Rivera, Candy Santiago and Lou Ann Cable.

Along with his parents, Dan was sadly predeceased by a granddaughter Jasmine. 

His Family will receive Friends on Friday, February 16th from 4-8pm at the LIBBY FUNERAL HOME, 55 Teller Avenue, Beacon, New York. Interment will be private at the discretion and convenience of his family.
