Daniel Chyma Obituary
Daniel was born on February 1, 1948, in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Paul and Mary (Atchison) Chyma.
Dan graduated from South Tama High School.
On June 29, 1968, he was united in marriage to Nancy Robinett at Elim Lutheran Church in Marshalltown. Dan was previously employed as a supervisor at Lennox in Marshalltown and also maintained his rental properties. Dan worked as a roofer in his younger years. His hobbies included fishing and cooking. Dan would do anything for his grandchildren and he loved his dog, Roxy.
Survivors include two sons, Kelly (Naomi) Chyma of Tama, and Dustin (Lynsey) Chyma of Nashua; five grandchildren, Preston and Klohe Chyma, Karson, Kamden, and Channing Chyma; his mother, Mary Chyma of Toledo; three brothers, Todd Chyma of Toledo, Rodney (Shannon) Chyma of Marshalltown, and Paul (Rebecca) Chyma of Toledo; one sister, Rosaland (Al) Smith of Davenport; sister-in-law, Deanna (Loren) Willey of Tama; and many nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his father, Paul; his wife, Nancy in 2020; daughter, Amber Paulette Chyma; and son, Darren Dale Chyma.
A memorial fund will be established.
