Daniel T. Condon

Daniel T. Condon, one of the founding partners of the certified public accounting firm Condon, O'Meara, McGinty & Donnelly, passed away in the early hours of Friday, May 17, 2024.
He was 71 years old.
Born on September 5, 1952, to Thomas Condon, a paper handler at the New York Daily News, and Catherine Condon, a secretary at the New York Foundling, Dan was a second-generation Irish American and lifelong New Yorker, who grew up alongside his three siblings: Thomas, Catherine, and James.
Dan's passion and early talent for hockey earned him a place on the National Hockey League's 1969-1970 U.S. Junior All-American Hockey Team, which eventually led to his recruitment by Northeastern University, where he played for three consecutive seasons under legendary Men's Ice Hockey coach, Fernie Flaman.
Throughout his life and career, Dan was a staunch advocate for the underprivileged and underserved. His dedication to humanitarian causes was recognized with The National Rehabilitation Association's Frances Stillman Humanitarian Award, the Corporate Leadership Award from Nazareth Housing, a community-based nonprofit organization that provides stability and economic mobility among New York's most vulnerable families and individuals, and the Fernie Flaman Award for his dedication and commitment to the Northeastern hockey program.
Above all else, Dan was a devoted family man whose love and generosity had no bounds. He leaves behind his wife of forty-two years, Carol Ann, as well as his four children-Catherine, Ryan, Timothy, and Mary Clare, and his beloved dog, Mooch.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Northeastern University's Fernie Flaman Endowed Men's Hockey Coach Fund, (Fund Designation Code: 450237) or The Partridge Scholarship Foundation for students pursuing a career in the hospitality industry.
