Daniel Thomas Corcoran

Born on May 13, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan, he was the son of Leonard and MaryJane Corcoran.

He was peacefully called home into the loving arms of the Lord on December 31, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of dedication and deep connection to those he loved.

He graduated from Bentley High School and met the love of his life, Ms. Christine, who became his beloved wife and lifelong partner. Family was priority to him, showing unconditional love to his wife; his children, Ron and Rondal; and grandchildren: Heather and Whitt "AJ". His heart was filled with joy as he took pride in guiding them to be kind, loving and amazing adults. Losing him changed us but loving him shaped us.

In 1979 the family moved to North Carolina, where he worked for IBM but then found his career with US Airways. He retired from there after years of devoted service. Working for the airline allowed him to travel to visit family and friends, and explore God's heavenly creations.

He adored his wife, he loved his family, and watching "Gunsmoke". He enjoyed preaching the word of God whenever the opportunity allowed. He spent time reading the bible, traveling, fishing, playing the guitar, working on cars and if you had the honor of knowing him, you knew his belief in the Lord was faithful. His sweet soul, kindness, compassion, loyalty, strength and witty sense of humor was boundless. Known for his hearty handshake, warm heart, wisdom and unwavering support of those he loved. Thank you for being part of our lives and celebrating his life with us. His impact will last for generations to come.

Dan is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, and siblings as well as numerous other relatives and friends who will deeply miss his comfortable presence.

Dan's family has given the family of Lowe-Neddo Funeral Home the privilege of caring for him and for them. A service remembering Dan's life, love and blessing will be held at 1 pm on Friday, January 23, in the funeral home chapel. There will be a time for all to share a memory and we would encourage you to share a smile.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
