Daniel Creech Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Pippin Funeral Home - Camden Wyoming on Jun. 27, 2025.
Daniel F. Creech, Sr., 90, of Dover, Delaware departed this life on June 23, 2025, at his home.
Daniel was born September 25, 1934 to the late John and Della (Sampson) Creech in Huntington, West Virginia.
Daniel grew up in North Carolina and graduated from Southport High School in 1953. As a teenager, he was an accomplished lifeguard during summers between school years. He joined the military in 1954 and served honorably for 25 years before retiring as a Master Sergeant in 1979. In much of his Air Force career, he served in the Strategic Air Command with specializations as a Missile System Analyst and Missile Maintenance Supervisor. He completed his dedicated military service at Dover Air Force Base where he traveled to many countries as a Courier with Top Secret clearance. Following his military service, he was a small engine mechanic for several years, with a reputation of being able to fix anything. Upon retirement from employment, he took time to enjoy the little things in life.
Daniel loved pursuing his hobbies and spending time with his family, often enjoying local cuisines, shopping, traveling on the Cape May Lewes Ferry, and purchasing new florals for his garden. Daniel took great pride in his home and had a reputation for keeping a beautiful lawn and garden year-round and was often found outside caring for his beautifully cultivated floral displays. Daniel was always tinkering with his gardening tools and seldomly had to replace anything, because he could just fix it. When he wasn't gardening, he could be found in one of his favorite reading chairs with a Kindle in his hand, as reading was a long-kept passion of his.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife of 57 years, Ursula Creech, and two of his four children, Carrol Aizenman and Daniel F. Creech, Jr.
Daniel will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Blanche Creech of Delaware and Donna Mullarkey (Brian Mullarkey) of South Carolina, his loving granddaughters, Brook Filandro (Jeff Filandro), Stephanie Creech, Caitlyn Creech-Burris (Sonny Burris), and Kayla Mullarkey (Wesley Baucom), as well as his four great-grandchildren (Elaina & Julianna Filandro and Myles & Walker Burris).
A funeral service will be held at 6:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden Wyoming Avenue, Wyoming, DE 19934; there will be a viewing from 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. A committal service will be held the following day, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 10:00 A.M. at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City Road, Bear, DE 19701.
