Daniel M. "Dan" Cunningham

YOUNGSTOWN, OHIO – Daniel M. "Dan" Cunningham, 68, of Youngstown, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown with his family by his side.

Dan was born in East Liverpool, Ohio on April 17, 1957, a son of the late James F. and Bona "Bonnie" J. (Farish) Cunningham. He was a veteran proudly serving in the Navy. Dan worked at FedEx as a project manager until his retirement in July of 2023. He was an avid collector of Hot Wheels. Dan enjoyed going fishing and camping. Most importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle that enjoyed spending time with his family.

Preceding Dan in death were his son Joshua M. Cunningham; grandson Cody Segner; sister Nancy Lowe and brother Tim Cunningham.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 47 years, whom he married July 13, 1978, Karen (Young) Cunningham; daughter Tiffanie Springer and her husband Howard; two sons Travis Cunningham and his wife Jen and Michael Cunningham and his wife Sarah; six grandchildren Riley Springer, Naiya Springer, Aleiya Springer, Oliver Cunningham, Corinna Segner and Dominic Cunningham and four great grandchildren Astrid Segner, Wrenlee Segner, Vincent Cunningham and Willow Cunningham.

Friends may visit Monday at the Dawson Funeral Home where the family will be present from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Pastor Court Riddle will conduct a funeral service 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial at Columbiana County Memorial Park where Tri State Veterans Burial Group will conduct military honors.

Following the service the family will gather at the Dawson Family Center for a time of fellowship.
