Daniel David McCarty was born April 1, 1982 at Fort Polk, LA. Danny passed away unexpectedly in Smithfield, NC on December 19, 2024. Danny is survived by his parents (Robin and Larry McCarty, and nephew Patrick Guest) of Fayetteville, NC and his grandmother-Betty McCarty of St. Augustine, FL. Danny was loved by many family members.
Danny was a graduate of Bartlett-Yancey High School. During his middle school and high school years he was quite the ball player in soccer and basketball. Danny graduated from Campbell University where he made many forever friends. Danny won the Mr. Campbell U contest in 2004. His rendition of the Napoleon Dynamite dance was one for the ages.
Danny worked in the food and beverage industry. He just loved to be around people. Danny was truly the life of the party. Danny loved sports of all kinds. He was a Super fan of the FSU Seminoles and Baltimore Orioles. Danny was a genius at Jeopardy and Sports Trivia.
We do not know why Danny was taken so suddenly? But we will try our best to walk by faith. Danny's Homegoing will be at Baynes Church-where he professed his faith in Jesus Christ and was baptized. Danny will be laid to rest beside his sister Joy who he loved so dearly.
Services will be Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 2:00PM with a Visitation 12:30-1:45 prior to the Home going at the church.
