Daniel L. Drugg, age 54, of Wells, MN died Saturday, October 3, 2015 of an apparent heart attack while he was duck hunting. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, with Pastor Mary Iverson officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2015 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wells, and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Daniel Lee was born in the Wells Hospital, August 18, 1961, the son of John and Dorothy (Gabrielson) Drugg. He graduated from Wells-Easton High School, class of 1979. He went on to graduate from Austin Community College with a degree in carpentry. Dan opened his cabinet shop, Custom Wood Products in 1983. He married Trudy Solberg on July 12, 1986, in New Richland, MN, and to this union two daughters, Danielle and Leslie, were born. He was a loving husband and father. He was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Dan was also a member of the Wells Fire Department, retiring after 23 years of service. He was an avid hunter with his dogs, Coal and Woodshop Willie. He was a member of Southern Minnesota Hunting Retriever Association, and loved dog training. Dan was famous for his quick wit, ready smile, and "one-liners". He enjoyed having a cold beer and lots of laughs with his friends and family at the shop. Dan is survived by his wife Trudy of Wells, MN; daughters Dani Drugg (Chad Youngberg) of Austin, MN, and Leslie Drugg (Joe Vike) of La Crosse, WI; siblings: Gary (Diane) Drugg of Rochester, MN, Sally (Garry) Matthies of Wells, MN; In-laws: Joe and Barb Solberg of Albert Lea, MN; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dori (Bill) Jensen of West Salem, WI, Wendy (Ed) Nowak of Elysian, MN, Brian (Becca) Solberg of Hartland, MN, Daryl Solberg (Vickie Bair) of Wells; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of great friends far and wide. Dan is preceded in death by his father in 1990, and mother in 2010.
