Daniel Dean Faunce, 80, of Gas City, passed away at 3:46 am on Thursday, February 13, 2025, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born in Marion, Indiana, on Friday, December 22, 1944, to John Everett Faunce and Mary Juanita (Duncan) Endsley. On October 2, 1970, he married Joy Cranfill.
Daniel graduated from Marion High School in 1962. He worked in manufacturing for 20 years with Chrysler and also had a career as a plumber and in construction. He loved hunting, especially his annual trips to Wyoming to hunt deer, and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. Daniel was a dedicated member of New Life Community Church, where he served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, and church bus driver.
He is survived by his wife, Joy Faunce of Gas City; sons, Gregory Faunce of Gas City and Michael (Brandi) Faunce of Marion; grandsons, Chase Faunce, Tyler Faunce, Dakota Faunce, Skylar Tackett, and Dusty Faunce; seven great-grandchildren; sister, Marsha (Don) Wieseham of Claypool; and his best friend, his dog, Shiloh.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Heather Rachelle Faunce; brother, David Faunce; and sister, Karen Sue Faunce.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
The family will receive visitors from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at New Life Community Church 2011 W. 10th St. Marion, IN 46953.
Immediately following the time of visitation, a memorial service will be held to celebrate Daniel's life 3:00 pm at New Life Community Church 2011 W. 10th St. Marion, IN with Pastor Mike Kaminski officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN.

Dan and I shared a ride to work in Kokomo at Chrysler for several years and it was a pleasure to spend time with him. We had many good times and laughs . It is just a shame that we went our seperate ways and lost track of each other but I will have the memories for ever. Rest well my friend.
