A life lived with music, adventure, creativity, wisdom, and boundless love. An incredible father, loving son, devoted brother, and a cherished uncle. Born to Harry Fine Jr. and Thelma Fine of Kingston, PA, Dan Fine passed away after a long, courageous three-year battle with lung cancer. His strength, creativity, compassion, and love for life touched everyone who knew him.
Above all else, Dan's greatest accomplishment was his two children, Daniel Jaye Fine Jr. and Emily Sierra Fine. From the moment they were born, they were his purpose and his pride. He filled their lives with love, curiosity, and adventure - teaching them kindness, empathy, honesty, and the value of truly living a life. He took his family on countless trips; skiing in Vermont and New Hampshire, watching the US open, exploring the Grand Canyon and Outer Banks, boating on the Milford coast. Some of his happiest and fulfilling moments were simply spending time watching movies with his kids, sharing stories, and making memories that really do last for a lifetime.
Beyond being a devoted father, he was a gifted and talented artist in every sense. Music was in his soul; he was known as a talented bassist, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist. Playing in several bands throughout his lifetime; Snow White, Peaches and Diesel, Wissil Biskit, etc., his playing and vocals left a lasting impression on everyone who was in the crowd. His passion for creativity extended beyond music - he founded Dfine Dance Photography, capturing thousands of breathtaking images particularly in the world of dance.
He loved the ocean, the mountains, and the beauty of the Midwest. He had a philosophical and spiritual nature, often sharing wisdom through song lyrics, book quotes, and conversations with his family and friends. He was not only a source of joy, but a guide through life's challenges.
My Dad's legacy is one of love, art, passion, and inspiration. Although our hearts are broken, he assured us that his energy and life force will always be within and around us. His memory and spirit will live on in the values he instilled and countless lives he touched.
