Daniel Florek Obituary
He was born on May 23, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois to Lorraine and Clarence Florek.
He married Dora Martinez in Waukegan, Illinois on January 15, 1992.
Daniel or Dan The Man as he was known was an avid hunter, fisher, and golfer. He also loved the Chicago Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and was a fantasy league champion. He enjoyed being at his ranch and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years Dora of Uvalde; parents Lorraine and Clarence of New Port Richey, Florida; son, Art "Tito" Sanchez, Jr. of Park City, Illinois; four daughters, JoAnn (Michael) Cordova of Gurnee, Illinois, Christina (Tim) Florek of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Kathryn (Dimitra) Florek of Gurnee, Illinois, and Cristela (Hannah) Leipzig of San Antonio, Texas; sister, Debra Bradshaw of Park City, Illinois; two brothers, Dale (Terri) Florek of Round Lake, Illinois and David (Mary) Florek of Bristol, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Dominique, Daelynn, Makayla, Matthew, Addison, Kenzie,Colton, and Malaya; great grandchild, Bobbi ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Daniel is preceded in death by his two nephews Brian and Michael Florek.
Visitation will begin on Friday, May 19 at 12 p.m. followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20 at 10 a.m. at Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Art Sanchez Jr, Michael Cordova, Matthew Cordova, Tim McNutt, Jacob Illescas, Henry Martinez Jr, Hannah Leipzig, Benito Ozuna, and honorary pallbearer Colton Florek
