Daniel "Danny" Francis

Daniel "Danny" Francis, 73, of Wayne, WV passed away Monday, March 16, 2026 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Huntington, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2026 at Morris Funeral Home Chapel, Wayne with Pastors Danny Roberts and Brandon Arbogast officiating. Burial will follow in Community Memorial Gardens. He was born March 20, 1952 at East Lynn, WV, a son of the late Oscar Thomas and Lula Mae Cornett Francis. Danny was a faithful member of Laurel Free Will Baptist Church for fifty-three years. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his twin brother, David Francis, and brother Carl W. Francis, and two sisters, Geraldine Francis and Lillie Hesson. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-four years, Gladys Francis; a daughter, Misty Dawn Francis (Russ Leger) of Kenova, WV; a son, David Francis (Melissa) of Point Pleasant, WV; four step-children, Scott Swimm (Lola), Chris Swimm (Shery), Jennifer Osborne (Jeremy), and Brandon Swimm; four brothers, Tom Francis (Stella) of Huntington, WV, Larry Francis of Muncy, IN, John Francis of Dallas, TX, and Fred Francis (Brenda) of Wayne; a sister-in-law, Virginia Francis of Dallas, TX; a brother-in-law, Bob Hesson of Lavalette, WV; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and he was blessed with a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 Thursday evening at Morris Funeral Home, Wayne.
