Retired Army Sergeant First Class Daniel Fritsch went to be with Jesus, on August 9, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his wife and children. He was born on November 8, 1964, in Neenah, the son of Daniel and Catherine (Marx) Fritsch. Dan was a student of St. Patrick Elementary School and then St. Mary High School, Menasha. He finished his senior year at Neenah High School, where he graduated in 1983. Soon after his graduation he joined the Army and after 20 years of serving our country, he was able to retire in 2021. Dan worked at JJ Keller for 17 years, throughout his deployments. Dan was a patriotic and protective man who served his country and his family well. He gave regularly to military organizations and others in need. Dan has many extended family and friends that love and look up to him. He will be remembered most as an exceptional role model, problem solver, mentor, family man, and Veteran.
Dan is survived by his wife: Jill, who was also a good friend of his as a teenager; children: Jillian, Adam, Erik, Tristan (Stephanie), Hunter, Alesha, and Zechariah; 3 grandchildren: Violet, Mason, and Zoey; 3 nieces: Amanda, Samantha, and Sydney; other relatives and friends.
Dan was preceded in death by parents and a brother, Bryan Fritsch.
Funeral services will be at 11:00am, on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 528 Second St., Menasha. Visitation will be on Saturday at the church from 9:00am until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to 4th Hooah Inc., who sponsor the annual Veteran suicide awareness march that Dan and his friends have participated in yearly.
Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming support shown to our family during this difficult time.
