Daniel Gosney Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Fieser Funeral Home from Jan. 2 to Jan. 3, 2026.
Gosney, Daniel Joseph "Danny" entered into rest surrounded by his family on Monday, December 29, 2025 at the age of 44 years and 29 days. Born Monday, November 30, 1981 to Daniel Karl and Jill Marie Gosney (nee Green) in St. Louis, Missouri. Danny leaves behind his two wonderful daughters, Riley Grace and Layne Levi, and his loving partner Jessica Marie Davenport and her children Thomas Anthony and Lincoln Michael. Dear brother of Dawn (Billy) White. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Danny was a proud 2000 graduate of Festus High School, where he excelled as a multi-sport athlete, playing baseball and football and earning the distinguished "Mr. Football 1999" award. From a young age, he cherished time spent outdoors, especially fishing and deer hunting alongside his dad and the extended deer camp family. Known for his easy-going nature, Danny would do anything for anyone and was loved by all who knew him. He was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the St. Louis Blues, and even more devoted to his children, faithfully supporting them in volleyball, wrestling, ice hockey, and baseball by cheering them on at every opportunity. Above all else, Danny loved his family and friends, who were the center of his life. He worked for Hartman-Walsh Painting Company for many years and was a proud member of Painters Local 1199. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Louis Children's Hospital at http://www.stlouischildrens.org in honor of Danny and the P.A.T.C.H. charity donations are appreciated. Celebration of Life: Saturday, January 10, 2026 at the Festus-Crystal City Elks Lodge 1721, 4 Elks Drive Festus, MO 63028 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. service at 2:00 p.m.
