TIPP CITY - Haas, Daniel "Dan" J. age 53 of Tipp City, Ohio passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2024, after a hard-fought battle with cancer.
Dan was born December 16, 1970, in Dayton, Ohio to the late Richard J. and Roselyn J. {Traver} Haas. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Richard L. Haas. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years; Jennifer {Stanley} Haas, sons; Austin, Nolan, Gordon (fiancée Emma Conley), and Landon Haas all of Tipp City, Ohio. Also surviving are siblings; Roseann (Michael) McDonald of Colorado and Mary (Jeffery) Coomer of Union, Ohio.
Dan grew up in Trotwood, Ohio where his mother was a beloved schoolteacher, and his father was the esteemed Mayor for 18 years. Dan graduated in 1989 from Trotwood High School. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing and coaching soccer. He was a huge fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Browns. Dan was considered quite the comedian, always extremely witty and quick to make others laugh. He was very creative, generous, always thinking of others, a great communicator and a big family man. Dan was a wonderful son, husband, father and brother. His memory will shine bright through all who knew and loved him.

A visitation will be held from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Tipp City Global Methodist Church, 8 W. Main St., Tipp City, Ohio 45371. Memorial Service to be held at 11:00 AM the following day, Friday, August 30, 2024, at the church. His family suggests that anyone wishing to make a memorial contribution in Dan's memory to please consider Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, 3230 N. Co. Rd. 25A, Troy, Ohio 45373 or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frings and Bayliff Funeral Home, Tipp City.
