Daniel F. Hee

Daniel F. Hee, 62, of Wilmington, DE passed away on January 10, 2026.

Dan was born on January 9, 1964 to the late James and Anne Hee (nee Leach). Raised in Lansdowne, PA, Dan was a proud alumnus of Monsignor Bonner High School, where he was a member of the hockey team and developed a great love for the sport that he carried with him into his adult life. Dan had a passion for a number of local sports teams, including the Flyers, Phillies, and Villanova Basketball, but nothing compared to the love he had cheering for his Penn State Nittany Lions. In the fall, Dan could frequently be found attending games in State College and tailgating with family and friends, and any game he could not attend in person would be faithfully recorded and added to his collection of well-worn video tapes.

From a young age, Dan exhibited great artistic ability. Usually found doodling whenever inspiration struck, art was a passion that he often shared with his children, making hand-drawn caricatures and reproductions of favorite childhood cartoon characters. He also implemented this gift in a successful career in construction, bringing his natural creative nature and attention to detail to the job site to fulfill clients' visions while still bringing a level of artistry to every job he worked on.

Dan had a remarkable way of making people laugh and feel welcome. His sense of humor and warm disposition instantly put others at ease, and new acquaintances often felt like old friends before too long. He will be remembered for his humor and his willingness to go to any length for a laugh. The laughter he brought to his family and friends will be deeply cherished and dearly missed.

Dan is survived by his children, Brittany (Patrick) O'Brien, Daniel (Genna) Hee, and Dylan Hee. He is also survived by his siblings, Nancy Crowley, Bob (late Maureen) Hee, Gina Bissett, Diane Hee, and Maureen "Reenie" (Dan) Antonelli, as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He was predeceased by his sister, Kathy Hee, and his brother, James "Jimmy" Hee.

Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on Friday, January 23rd, 2026 at 9:30AM, and to his Funeral Mass at 11:00AM, both at Saint Kevin Church in Springfield PA, 200 West Sproul Road, Springfield, PA 19064.
