Daniel David Henry, Sr., was born on April 16, 1955, in Queens, New York, to Raymond David Henry and Katie (McNear) Henry. He departed this life leaving behind a legacy of faith, devotion to family, and a deep love for learning.
Daniel was united in marriage to the love of his life, Betty (Lemons), on July 18, 1981. Together they built a family grounded in faith, love, and commitment.
Daniel had a passion for learning and enjoyed reading books about cars and trucks. He loved discovering different ways to repair automobiles and was always eager to expand his knowledge. He also had a love for guitars and enjoyed spending time with his family.
Above all, Daniel was a devoted man of prayer. Studying the Word of God was a central part of his life, and he faithfully trained his children to be followers of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond David Henry.
Daniel leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Betty Henry; his mother, Katie Henry; his sister, Miriam; his nephews, Jimmy and Jake; and his children: Daniel Henry, Jr. (Yolanda), Jacqueline Henry, Veronica Burroughs (Devon), Raymond Henry, Albertina Henry, and Marietta Wright (Jarrett).
He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jordan, Alora, Jaxson, Victoria, and Josiah.
Daniel will be remembered as a man of faith, a devoted husband, a loving father and grandfather, and someone who deeply valued prayer, family, and the Word of God. His life and teachings will continue to live on through the family he loved and faithfully guided.
There will be a visitation from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2026, at Mt. Calvary Powerhouse Church on Speedway Drive in Poplar Bluff. The homegoing service will begin at 1 p.m. with burial to follow in City Cemetery.
